Band

Our students are offered instruction in a wide range of instruments & Woodwinds, including: flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, and tenor sax; Brass, including: cornet, trumpet, trombone, French horn, and baritone.

Our percussion program specifically includes experiences with all membrane percussion, timpani, mallet percussion and drum set.

Students are evaluated in the areas of sight-reading, tone production and technique.

Third, fourth and fifth grade students participate in band. THE TIGER BAND, as we are called, has a repertoire which includes a variety of Pop/Show tunes, standard marches, and early jazz band arrangements. 

In addition, we are honored to have one of the few programs that has been cited as an "Honorable Mention Music Demonstration School".
